Data Engine Administration: Organisations

Introduction

Organisation Management enables administrators to add, modify, and remove organisations, while managing associated settings such as enabled modules.

Organisation information, such as associated organisations, sites, servers, and cameras, is available. An organisational hierarchy flowchart is also provided.

Add an Organisation

To create an organisation, click the Add Organisation button and enter the required information, including:

  1. Organisation Name,
  2. Organisation Address (Optional),
  3. Parent Organisation (Optional),
    Assign a parent organisation to create a child organisation. Leave this field blank to create a parent organisation.
  4. Enable a Module (such as EnviroEye, People Counting, or more).

A child organisation is an organisation nested within a parent organisation.

Data Engine Administration: Sites

Introduction

Site Management enables administrators to add, modify, and remove sites. A site represents a specific location in an organisation, such as a warehouse located at Marsh Ln, Preston PR1 8UQ.

Sites provide the foundation for assigning Dataengine Configuration: Servers, enabling administrators to incorporate Davantis, Eluviant (formerly IntelexVision), IEE, and IntuVision servers, with more integrations coming soon.

A site can have multiple detection servers assigned and can be associated with multiple organisations.

Data Engine Administation: Zone Management

Introduction

Zone Management is available exclusively for Dataengine: People Counting and enables administrators to add, modify, and remove zones for occupancy tracking and footfall analysis.

Zone information such as site, current occupancy, occupany settings, and arrival/departure locations is available. Additionally, administrators can increment, decrement, and reset occupancy in the instance of technical errors.

Introduction

User Management enables administrators to add, modify, and remove users while enforcing verification, two-factor authentication (2FA), and daily alerts.

This supports auditing and helps maintain compliance with relevant legislation by providing visibility into permissions and passwordless authentication.

Data Engine Administration: Roles & Permissions

Introduction

Role & Permissions enable administrators to assign pre-made permission groups to users in order to support granular access control and adhere to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

For example, the Enviro Eye Incident Reviewer role provides access to EnviroEye incidents, alerts, cameras, sites, reports, ANPR data, and associated media, while restricting access to unrelated functionality.

If pre-made roles do not meet specific organisational requirements, administrators can create custom roles with tailored permissions to suit their needs.

Introduction

Audit Logging enables administrators to identify all administrative actions and system events, providing visibility into user activity across the system and helping identify who, what, and when something was altered.

In addition, administrators have access to a table of the latest actions taken by users, providing transparency into system activity and supporting accountability, traceability, and security best practices aligned with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.

Administrators can export audit data as a CSV/JSON to use for further anaylsis.
