# Data Engine Administration: Organisations

##### Introduction

**Organisation Management** enables administrators to add, modify, and remove organisations, while managing associated settings such as enabled modules.

Organisation information, such as associated organisations, sites, servers, and cameras, is available. An *organisational hierarchy flowchart* is also provided.

##### Add an Organisation

To create an organisation, click the `Add Organisation` button and enter the required information, including:

1. Organisation Name,
2. Organisation Address <span style="color:rgb(52,73,94);"><span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional)</span>,</span>
3. Parent Organisation <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional),</span>  
    Assign a parent organisation to create a child organisation. Leave this field blank to create a parent organisation.
4. Enable a Module (such as EnviroEye, People Counting, or more).

<p class="callout info">A child organisation is an organisation nested within a parent organisation.</p>

# Data Engine Administration: Sites

##### Introduction

**Site Management** enables administrators to add, modify, and remove sites. A site represents a specific location in an organisation, such as a warehouse located at Marsh Ln, Preston PR1 8UQ.

Sites provide the foundation for assigning [Dataengine Configuration: Servers](https://bi3docs-bcgpacajdgayhfh2.ukwest-01.azurewebsites.net/books/data-engine-configuration/page/data-engine-configuration-servers "Dataengine Configuration: Servers"), enabling administrators to incorporate Davantis, Eluviant (formerly IntelexVision), IEE, and IntuVision servers, with more integrations coming soon.

<p class="callout info">A site can have multiple detection servers assigned and can be associated with multiple organisations.</p>

##### Adding a Site

To add a site, click the `Add Site` button and enter the required information, including:

- Site Name,
- Site Address <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional),</span>
- Site Descripion <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional),</span>
- Organisation(s),
- Server(s).

# Data Engine Administation: Zone Management

##### Introduction

**Zone Management** is available exclusively for **[Dataengine: People Counting](https://bi3docs-bcgpacajdgayhfh2.ukwest-01.azurewebsites.net/books/data-engine-people-counting "Dataengine: People Counting")** and enables administrators to add, modify, and remove zones for occupancy tracking and footfall analysis.

Zone information such as site, current occupancy, occupany settings, and arrival/departure locations is available. Additionally, administrators can increment, decrement, and reset occupancy in the instance of technical errors.

##### Adding a Zone

To add a zone, click the `Add Zone` button and enter the required information, including:

- Zone Name,
- Zone Site,
- Min Occupancy Threshold <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Minimum permitted occupancy within the zone),</span>
- Max Occupancy Threshold <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Maximum permitted occupancy within the zone),</span>
- Occupany Reset Time <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(The scheduled time for the daily footfall reset)</span>

# Data Engine Administration: Users

##### Introduction

**User Management** enables administrators to add, modify, and remove users while enforcing verification, two-factor authentication (2FA), and daily alerts.

A table of users is displayed, including information such as a users:

- name,
- email address,
- organisation(s),
- role(s),
- verified status,
- two-factor authentication (2FA) status,
- and daily alert emails.

This supports auditing and helps maintain compliance with relevant legislation by providing visibility into permissions and passwordless authentication.

##### Adding Users

To add a user, click the `Add User` button and enter the required information, including:

- Name,
- Email Address,
- Role(s),
- Organisation(s),
- First-Time Password Setup <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional),</span>
- Recieve Daily Alert Email Reports <span style="color:rgb(126,140,141);">(Optional).</span>

# Data Engine Administration: Roles & Permissions

##### Introduction

**Role &amp; Permissions** enable administrators to assign pre-made permission groups to users in order to support granular access control and adhere to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

For example, the `Enviro Eye Incident Reviewer` role provides access to EnviroEye incidents, alerts, cameras, sites, reports, ANPR data, and associated media, while restricting access to unrelated functionality.

If pre-made roles do not meet specific organisational requirements, administrators can create custom roles with tailored permissions to suit their needs.

##### Creating a Role

To create a role, click the `Create Role` button and enter the required information, including:

- Role Name,
- Permissions, with a comprehensive selection of configurable access options.

# Data Engine Administration: Audit Log

##### Introduction

Audit Logging enables administrators to identify all administrative actions and system events, providing visibility into user activity across the system and helping identify who, what, and when something was altered.

There is a variety of filters avaiable to administators such as:

- Start Date,
- Finish Date,
- Event Type,
- Feature Type,
- User(s),
- Organisation(s).

In addition, administrators have access to a table of the latest actions taken by users, providing transparency into system activity and supporting accountability, traceability, and security best practices aligned with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001.

<p class="callout info">Administrators can export audit data as a CSV/JSON to use for further anaylsis.</p>
